A couple of days ago i was trawling through my mp3 player because i was in the rare mood to listen to music that i have never heard before. And i found two songs that are actually quite good. The first was Overload by Sugababes. It was in their first album and its really smart basically a beat and vocals. The second is Run For Cover also by the Sugababes, it was also in their first album but unlike in Overload Mutyia and Keisha (i think thats their names) take more of a forefront instead of the then other bandmate Shannon (i really dont have a clue about that one). It has a really nice piano part which is really simple and the violin section is quite kl. go listen.

Go see dreamgirls. If you do not i will personally rip your head off. I went to see it yesterday with my bro, hailey and claire. Its real good, not the best but real good. The music is good too, if a little over sung at times but definitely worth it. I also bought one of the red noses that grow when you rub them. Claire opened hers and it didnt seem to get much bigger, also they STINK like nobodys business lol. But its for charity so i was happy to buy it. I also saw ruth in the cinema which was a nice suprise, well i have nothing else to say so i shall post this and go bye

Hello people, haaven't posted in a while so i thought i would, random eh. For all you people who went to Fintry primary (Becca, Ben and Lisa) Remember Melissa? Yeh, her. Well anyway I found her on bebo, and it looks like shes on her way to hairdressing school lol, just thot id post a wee note up to say that.

update on arm

hey guys. my arm turns out not to be broken ( even tho the doctors sed it was ) cos i went back yesterday and got another x-ray. i may have muscle damage and maybe nerve damage too. and just to top it off .i've only got another 5 weeks of a prison sentence ( groundin). but i still cant see my friends apart from becca b unless you all come over to blanefield and i'll just say " i'm takin the dog's a walk". but i'm rantin now so i will go. BTW its only 6 days till valentine's day. i'm actually organised lol.

Desperate Housewifes!!!

OMG I watched it last nite. I cant believe it u were totally right it was the best episode ever even though I new someone was going to get shot when it happened it still made me jump. It was so quick and unexpeted. I was crying and everything. Though the break kinda ruined the whole atmospher I mean who wants to hear about new constipation medicine when there is a life death situation going on!!! For the love of god!

WHAT THE HELL! SIX FUCKING WEEKS hes grounded for. thats fucking out of order.
its not like he did it on purpose was it!?
so turns out, i dont get to see him for 2 hours on my birthday, only 40 mins in two 20 min slots.
and hes not allowed to go into glasgow with me the next day either
so then i wont see him for the rest of the holidays. :'(
thats seriously just not right.

Finally

Finally after days and days (over a week) i finally got the vids up from the day me dec and jean went down to the after the english prelims.

What happend was after Dec and I had finished our prelims for the day we decided to go down to the park and Jean decided to tag along because she didnt to go to class. First we went to my house so we could drop of our stuff, and while we got a drink dec began massaging jean and she began letting out little squeels which then........ well lets just say my dog found them interesting.

Well we then went to the co-op where i bought some munchies for us. (dec was gready and got a big pouch of skitles and and 275g bar of dairy milk caramel). Well then we walked down to the woods behind the fire station, jean slowly littering away and me picking it up. As soon as we got to the end dec decided to climb a tree (ironically enough two days later he would have a little fall from the same tree, lol one of the funniest things ive EVER seen lol).

Well we got there and dec was munching on his skittles and it was at this time he told us that he needed the toilet, after being at my house only 5 mins earlier......... i wasnt impressed lol

turns out jean needed to go aswell.

After this jean got control of the cam and took a vid of dec adding some choice words and descriptions about dec when he was climbing tree.

I soon after took the cam bak off her and decided to try out an illusion just watch and enjoy.

Then Dec went to go to the toilet by a big conifer and i opened his chocolate and hid it in the empty skittles bag, while i was doing so jean was trying to make a spoof of the Blair Witch Project. So watch and enjoy Blair Witch Jean

Alanis Morissette - Well Worth a Listen

Here is a pleasant surprise now. Something educational, interesting, and actually worth reading on the Fintryblog! That is at least, my intention.
This is the first entry in something I still need a clever name for. I take an in depth look into the music in my, not vast, but sizable iTunes library.

Part One - Alanis Morissette.

Ok if you think you don’t like her then just bare with me here, i’ll do my best.

Out of the almost three thousand songs in my library, Alanis Morissette occupies a very large chunk. My Dad was a huge fan of her music from the beginning and bought her first to albums on CD, Jagged Little Pill and Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. My Mum is more of a Jazz music fan, but she’s very open minded when it comes to music - perhaps thats where i get that from - and she also fell in love with Morissette. Jagged Little Pill. That was the CD that was always playing softly when guests were over. It blared from the studio when Dad was busy working.

Ill first introduce you to one of my favourite songs. Ironic. This is the original version of the song. The acoustic version which comes from the re-released acoustic cover of her album Jagged Little Pill in my opinion sounds better due to the softer more organic sounds.

This track showcases her impeccable vocal talent. She floats from note to note effortlessly. This perfectly tuned voice leaves you free to concentrate on the lyrics and melodies in the songs. Lucky then, that these are also beautifully written and performed.

its meeting the man of my dreams, and meeting his beautiful husband.”
Her lyrics are quite simply, awesome! This is a definitely a song to make you smile.

But how about a song to make you cry? Well the track from her other early album “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie” called “That I would be good” is a real tear jerker. A very simple song with deeply moving lyrics. With all lines beginning with “that i would be good…” it is an interesting approach to song writing. Her voice really cries out in this song with an almost wild, animal-like sound in parts. You really have to listen to it properly to appreciate it. Another angle to look at her music is her more uplifting and energetic songs. The example ive picked here has more electronic roots and sample drumbeats with a house style bassline. A really intense mix of sounds that gets ur heart racing and just demands to be played at high volume with the bass up! The song is called “So Pure” and is taken from the album “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie”

Ok, time for one last approach to this singer. If you still dont like her then this is probably the last chance I have to convince you. “All I Really Want”, from “Jagged Little Pill” displays the more intense agreesive Alanis that debuted in the 90s with her powerful and gritty collection of songs. This is the title track from that album and for me, really sums up what this artist is all about. Enjoy.

Liked some of what you heard? Heres what to do.
If you were a fan of Ironic, then i highly recommend more from her MTV Unplugged Album. Especially tracks such as “Head Over Feet” and “No Pressure Over Cappuccino”. If the slow, emotional tones of “That I Would Be Good” are more your thing then “Utopia” from the album “Under Rug Swept” is certainly worth a listen, along with “Mary Jane” and “That Particular Time” from “Jagged Little Pill” and “Under Rug Swept” respectively. More of the upbeat dancey sounds can be found in the songs “Front Row” and “21 Things I Want In A Lover” while her agressive side really shines through in “You Oughta Know” and “8 Easy Steps”.
