What I Did Yesterday.

Wow. What was the weather like yesterday! WOoowEeee! (in other weather - related news, ther is a thunder storm due on friday apparently!) I got up quite late yesterday, and promised myself i would do lots of studying. Then i was talking to gareth on msn. _ which is usually the first thing i do in the morning when i get u, go on msn. lol. So i was helping gareth out a bit with the creative writing CD cover. and after that i went outside to revise. AHHHHHH IT WAS SUUUNNNNYYY! lol i LOVE the sun. so i sat against the wall in the front garden eating lunch and doing maths past paper questions. Then i took a break after about an hour to take some pictures cos u cant have a sunny day and NOT take some pictures. Here are a few of the photos i took....








And the later on lisa came over and we talked to richard on webcam for a bit while getting hyper on coke and smarties! (LETHAL combination btw. ... guaranteed to make u HYPER! ) here are a couple of photos we took then....

Hey. Just thought I would let you all know about Skype. Skype is an emerging technology that uses VoIP. VoIP basicaly means "Voice, over the internet" All you need is Skype (free from www.skype.com for windows , mac , linux, or pocket PC. and a microphone and speakers. Mics can be found for around £4 on ebay.co.uk and its really easy to set up. You can also do group chats with up to 50 people in the virtual "room" at once. Sandy, Me, Gareth, and Richard have been using it for a bit recently, and its really cool. So i strongly recommend you go check it out.

Movie Night!

Movie Night was great fun. Sarah and David and Gareth and Declan came over around 6.30 (although David was here by 6pm lol!) And we watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles which is really funny. Then we gave david his birthday cake that my mum had made. It was really funny cos I blew out the candle b4 david got a chance to so then gareth got all annoyed and re-lit it again and held it up to davids face, by which time i had climbed into my bed and leaned over and blew it out over his shoulder. lol. then gareth lit it again! and i think that time sarah blew it out and by now david was getting a bit distraught, so then gareth - now in a bit of a blind rage - re-lit the candle AGAIN and then declan said "Ben do you have a smoke alarm in your house?" and i said "omg yeh we do!" (we dont) and gareth went "OMG" and blew it out. :) that was so funny.
Then we watched some of cabin fever and that was really quite scary. Sarah thought she saw something under the table and wouldnt let me go near it to see what it was. Then david did his REALLY scary face thing and i shot across the room. That freaked declan out cos by now he was busy watching Saw 2 on my ipod and ddnt see me coming. lol.
Then Declan and Gareth left and David, Sarah, and me watched some more of teh cabin fever film. Then David has to go, he was really pleased cos usually he is first here and last to leave. (make ur own assumptions why) and since he got here 30 mins b4 everyone else he was glad he wasnt last to leave. Then Sarah left and i was left to clear up the mess. lol.

FINTRYBLOG UPDATE! - New Design and more....

Howdy Folks. How be things down on the Fintryblog?

First of all, please let me know what you think of this new design. I would really really appreciate it if you could suggest a few ideas of how you would like it to look or act. Colours, Fonts, Things to say. Anything. Just let me know. 

The idea now is that this blog is open for anyone to post ANYTHING that pops into thier head. Why not share more of our own thoughts! I will try to keep making it as easy as possible to add to the blog. I mean, c'mon, u can all post from your own email already! But keep ideas flowing and things can only get better! 

People like to read new things. And the Fintryblog is just one of the places you go to get something to read, see, or discuss. But we cant just expect a blog to write itself can we? :) So please, once you have read through the new stuff and recent banter, post your own! This way the blog is always updated with new stuff. Then you can come back in a bit and see how people reacted and what they though of your little brain deposit. :S 

Photos. A picture tells a thousand words. Wow thats efficient! So why not give your fingers a breather and send us up some of your latest snaps.

Hey ppl I haven't ritten on here for ages. My sites really boring compared to bens. Ah well.

On Wednesday a load of us headed up to Aviemore for Duke of edinburgh. It was great fun. It was a 4 hour journey in a very cramped mini bus cause we only had one instead of 2 as someone had booked it into the garage. Stupid person. So a few ppl had to go in one of the leaders car while the rest of us sat in the mini bus up to her eyes in luggage. There was no room to put our feet.
We were staying in a youth hostel which was massive. In my walking group there is me, kate h, kate m, david, scott and euan. We are called the Highland Yetis. If u know who kate H is then ask her for her yeti impression its hilarious. I think david has a photo of it somewhere. Lol!!!
So yeah spent a few days up there learning how to put up tents and going over stuff from last year. On the friday before coming home we had to walk 15.5km which is around 10miles. With packs on our back. It was a great laugh and i had great fun though was extremly tired. Ah well!!
So yeah the holidays hasn't been that exciting the first week i went to revision classes in Cardonald College with becca. They helped but have shown me how much i still have to learn. Gulp!!!
Better go and crack on. And laurie ben and gillian please stop saying down there. Its really giving me the creeps and probably freaking others out as well!!!

I kno its been a while. Let just put that down to gareths lazyness. lol. Here are the photos from the fancy dress party on friday at the start of the holidays. It was really great. Some of the costumes were, um, questionable. I think the award for best costume should go to Jennifer for her "Mrs Doubtfire". enjoy.

Yup folks, thats when the new iMac intel Core Duo arrives. the 19th of April. They are having supply issues and are out of stock so thats the date. It may be a few days b4, but the 19th is the latest. Thats about 2 weeks. Shit. oh well. at least i know now.

UPDATE* Thanks Gillian, i know i did write february and i have no idea why. I keep doing that when people ask me im like yeh its the 19th of Febr-April. its weird.

Its so cold in the house!

OMG im home alone and its so unbelievably freezing cold in this house!!!!!!!!!!! im shivering like mad. there is actually a chill in the air that you can feel whenever you walk through it. Its rediculous. I think i managed to switch on the heating but its gonna be a while till it heats up. Im gonna go huddle in a duvet infront of the TV.

iMac still not here. 3.30pm Wednesday. 51 days, and counting.

There were 9 and now theres only 2 left! iive had none, holly had none, zoe had none, mum had none, so in the space of 2 days. 2 DAYS PEOPLE! my dad has eaten 7, yes, SEVEN of them. holy crap.

my holidays been soooooooo (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) boring :( its been totaly crap. and iv been well hyper coz iv been drinkin loads of coffee coz iv had nothing else to do an then my mum got mad herbal pills to make me slleep an i cudnt get out of bed till like, 3 today. it sucked. and its been well sunny aswell , see, mothers arent always right.

and i have a thing in my eye., it keeps moving, like its about to jump out or something. i hate that. i also hate how i have a itchy back but its in the bit of your back thats really hard to reach.

i also hate that dream where youv put your trousers on backwards. i had that dream last nite. its well anoying. an you go away an fix them an then a second later their on back to front again. GAWD. also, i was thinking - minge sneezes, it is very close to the line, but i duno if its over the line bcoz it made us laugh alot !!!!!!!!!! LOLLLLLLLZAMONDO.

OMG. my dad cant seem to give any solid information on anything to do with this machine!
Turns out, they are NOT picking the old one up 2moro at 2pm. They will delay picking it up until the new one arrives. So..... whens the new one coming? hmm, well we dont know. We just dont know. Screw the whole 72Hours thing, pretend the 'waiting around the house not going anywhere incase it was delivered so someone was in' didnt happen.
For god sake this is so frustrating!
So now i just have to continue waiting, like i have been, for the past FORTY NINE days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isnt that rediculous! 49 days for a stupid fix on a machine that wouldnt wake from sleep mode! WTF! and its gonna be about 51-53 days probably, maybe even more until i actually have it here, in my hands.

I have to go lie down.

If i wander about lookin like i have nothing to do then my parents try to make me do housework. fair enuf. but zoe has lay on the sofa watching tv all day so far (2.11pm) and hasnt done anything. but she gets to do that for some reason. grr.

my dad is trying (or rather, my mum is trying to get my dad...) to call apple and find out where the heck my intel imac is, its been nearly a week and its still not here. this is torture. i hope to god it arrives soon.

ah this sucks. im so tired and bored. and its the holidays too! omg this is painfull. As most of you probably know this is maybe the cruelest thing you can do to me:

A Useless Rant (not about the u kno wot)

Hows ya doin? Can anyone believe how random the weather is being! I mean, it was nice and sunny yesterday and then all of a sudden there was SNOW! i couldnt believe it! ooft.

Wanna hear sumfin funny richard. Remember months and months ago when i sent my mac into scotsys for repair. And they replaced the motherboard TWICE. well i finally got the old one back and this morning i put it to sleep. and it wouldnt wake up!> what. the. f*** TWO MONTHS and they dont even manage to fix the original problem, all they do is break the display and the wireless! ARGH!

Thats all from me at the mo. I have to go and re-wash the pots and pans that i did last night. lol.

Got the OLD one back. New one 2moro.

so i got my OLD iMac back, u kno, the one that scotsys broke. and its a wreck! there are stickers on it! stickers!!!!!
and they have been told by apple to make the machine 'usable' so i can get my data off it onto the new one. Its USABLE alright, but the screen is sh****! if ANYTHING moves it blurs like crazy! and its SOOOOOO dark and all the colours are faded and washed out. there is no such thing as grey apparently! all shades of grey appear white. its weird. They broke iPhoto, so i cant use that. And the broke my quicktime player too! its not pretty folks. Anyhoo hopefully the new intel one arrives 2moro and i can set them both up and show this thing what it SHOULD be like!
